Maria Telidou – Certified ThetaHealing® and Nonviolent Communication Instructor

Hello! I was born in Athens in 1971 and from a very young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to movement, body expression, human connection, and the spiritual world of the human being. I studied Physical Education and Sports at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1988–1992), and right after graduating, I began working as a Fitness trainer, Physical Education teacher, and sports coach – both in Greece and the UK (1992–2000).

Inner Quest and Spiritual Experience in India

From 2000 to 2010, my inner quest led me to India, where I lived for ten years as a volunteer at the spiritual and humanitarian organization of Amma. Amma is an internationally renowned spiritual teacher and philanthropist – www.amma-greece.org. There, I had the joy and honor of actively participating in ecological projects and deeply studying Eastern spiritual teachings, experiencing a profound personal transformation.

Discovering the ThetaHealing® Technique

In 2010, I discovered the ThetaHealing® technique and immediately felt an inner “yes.” I traveled to England, India, and the United States to be trained and certified as an instructor. Deeply impressed by its power and effectiveness, I decided to devote myself entirely to this method. In 2011, I returned to Greece and systematically established the ThetaHealing® technique in the country for the first time.

Teaching ThetaHealing® Seminars in Greece

Since then, I have been teaching the ThetaHealing® technique throughout Greece with love and dedication. I have the joy of offering and teaching all the seminars that comprise the complete ThetaHealing® education to those who wish to embark on this journey of joy and self-discovery. At the same time, I participate in holistic expos, festivals, TV/radio programs/podcasts, and organize live and online presentations to share my knowledge and experience with the world. Meantime I maintain monthly practice groups with my Thetahealing students.

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Education & Practice

Beyond ThetaHealing®, another path that has deeply moved me is Nonviolent Communication (NVC). It all started with a book by the founder of this method, which I read around 2005 while still in India. Since 2011, I have been systematically training in this method, which promotes empathy, connection, and authentic human interaction.

In 2016, I began offering trainings and participating in festivals and community events, presenting NVC in Athens and other cities. I currently lead structured NVC seminars at various levels. As of 2025, I am in the process of becoming a certified NVC trainer which will be cocluded on 2026, and I maintain monthly practice groups with my NVC students and I upgrate my self participating in global NVC training and groups.

I have created “Ελεύθερος Χώρος”(Free Space), a business and a space for inspiration, learning, and personal evolution, where I work as a self-employed practitioner and Instructor, offering personal development and communication techniques with respect, authenticity, and joy.

PERSONAL NOTES 

 For me, healing is not a process that is “offered” from one person to another.

It is a sacred encounter—a moment of deep presence and mindfulness.
A gentle reminder that within us already exists all the wisdom, strength, love, and guidance we need in order to evolve.

I do not heal anyone – I walk alongside them. I stand next to each person with an open heart, space, silence, and empathy, so that they may discover their own inner truth and spiritual strength.

I deeply believe that our soul knows. And when we give it space, time, and stillness, it always leads us exactly where we truly need to be. This is why I share this knowledge with love and devotion— through energy healing, self-awareness, and personal development.

I don’t believe I “teach” anything. I feel that I simply remind people of something they already know deep within: that they are light,  that they have choice, that they are far more powerful and free than they were ever taught to believe.

What I wish through my work is to help people return to themselves— to their body, to their heart, to their authentic power.  To create their life, not out of fear, but from freedom, awareness, and love.
