ΑΜΜΑ

Amma is considered a spiritual presence that decorates our era. She is distinguished and honored as the most generous philanthropist. She has earned the worlds respect for her immediate and excellent contribution to society. The United Nations have recognized her as the most remarkable Spiritual Teacher.

For the last 30 years Amma has devoted her life to elevate the alignment of humanity with a simple handshake and a hug. With this intimate way, Amma has given her blessings and comforted over 38 million people throughout the world.

Once a journalist asked, Amma how is it possible for her to embrace everyone with the same endearing way, although some may be sick or repulsive. Amma replied, “when a bee flies from flower to flower it doesn’t see the difference among the flowers but the honey on the flowers. As such, Amma sees the Higher Self of whomever she hugs.”

Her example shows us, that in each ones heart, reigns love and peace, an awareness that is a prerequisite for restoring peace in the world.

Maria Telidou spent 10 years with Amma and shares her story:

“During 1996 to 1999, I lived In England. I worked mainly as a gymnastics instructor. That is where I met Amma, she visited England every year for a three-day charity and spiritual course of events. I was impressed by her dynamic nature but at the same time calm and sweet presence. I was also amazed for the work she did for charitable cause. I instantly felt the urge to take part in this project. I went to explore if it suited me to live and work as a volunteer in Amma s organization. Immediately I felt at home, and that the timing was perfect. Therefore, I moved and stayed in India for the next 10 years of my life.

My experience was amazing. I felt whole as a person, I had a purpose, and my life had meaning. I felt I could control my life and not be controlled by external factors. The freedom I felt, brought tears to my eyes, in every way possible. What I am today is due to the overall structure of my life in India. I returned to Greece, to continue the effort that began in India, to offer society the heavenly gifts that were handed out all this time near Amma.”
